After performing her last show to a sold-out crowd at the Blind Pig in Champaign IL (1997) Karen moved to San Francisco to start a new teaching gig.

She produced a rare 7" single with "Month of March / Can't Figure it Out" distributed by Spur Records (who produced the record.)
She's opened for Pansy Division, Ani Difranco, Vic Chestnutt, The Vulgar Boatmen, and Carrie Newcomer
In 1994 she designed the first online high school art gallery called ArtSpace
She's currently teaching art classes at the Bay School of San Francisco.
