Seeing Double - Our first fellow scamp sighting
On our maiden voyage to Costanoa we spotted a little junior scamp (a 13 footer). Karen, Jenny, Cristina & I were playing cards when it pulled up near us and we all perked up. We wanted to go over and chat with them but were a little hesitant at first. After they had settled two spots away from us, we walked over. As the woman got out of their car she & I looked at each other and immediately realized we are old friends from college at UC Santa Cruz. Ten years ago I was at Amber’s wedding but we lost touch as she and her husband Chuck went into the peace corps. They now have two adorable daughters and are also new to Scamping. We compared Scamps and caught up on each other’s lives over a glass of wine later that evening.
